HSIA and FPT University HCMC Discuss OJT Program Development and Industry Collaboration.

On the afternoon of June 3, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Association (HSIA) and FPT University Ho Chi Minh City Campus held a meeting to discuss the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program and explore opportunities for cooperation in education and industry engagement for students.

Attending the meeting on behalf of HSIA were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, President of HSIA, together with members of the Association’s Executive Committee. Representing FPT University Ho Chi Minh City Campus were Mr. Nguyen Tran Phuoc Bao, Head of the Corporate Relations Department, along with representatives from the department.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the OJT implementation model, coordination mechanisms between the university and enterprises, student management during internships, and professional support activities. In the initial phase, the program is expected to focus on Information Technology, Integrated Circuit Design, and Digital Automotive Engineering.

HSIA will act as a bridge connecting member enterprises and supporting professional activities such as workshops, seminars, company visits, and experience-sharing sessions to provide students with practical insights. In addition, both parties discussed the possibility of collaborating on technology application projects and creating more hands-on learning opportunities for students.

At the conclusion of the meeting, HSIA and FPT University Ho Chi Minh City Campus agreed to continue refining the cooperation framework, aiming to launch the program in September 2026. This initiative is expected to enhance training quality and strengthen connections between academia and industry in the fields of technology, integrated circuits, and semiconductors.
